We would like to cordially invite you to the next ordinary general assembly of the Historians’ Network Switzerland.
In addition to the fixed items such as the annual report, budget, elections and outlook, we will have an exciting input from member and Grand Councillor (Green Party Bern) Natalie Imboden. She was a co-organizer of the 9th female Historians’ Conference in 1998 in Bern. The female Historians’ Conferences took place from 1983 onwards and were a pioneering forum for the networking of female historians in Switzerland. Natalie Imboden will talk about how she experienced the conference, about the importance of networking among female historians then and now, and about how the main issues have changed.
Afterwards, based on her contribution, we would like to discuss what the needs of female historians in Switzerland are today and what we as a women’s network can contribute to them.
After the official program we propose a small virtual aperitif for a more informal exchange.
